Earlier this month, I took a trip to Denver with the boyfriend to visit his family. That was my first time visiting Denver and it was just as cold as I had imagined. I prefer the cold, anyway.
The first day, we visited The Great Divide brewery downtown. Denver is full of breweries and everywhere you go, delicious beer, as far as the eye can see.
Then after that, we drove up to Golden and took family photos. I can’t remember the last time I was in a big family group photo instead of taking one.

After that, we decided phở sounded good after being in that cold weather for a few hours and went to a place nearby which served THE best phở I’ve ever had. I’m still dreaming of it.
The next day we drove up to the Rockies to get our fill of snow in Breckenridge since there wasn’t much in the city. It was so beautiful, even when we got lost in the middle of the woods while wearing ridiculous snow shoes. I used that as an opportunity to make snow angels, which I had never done before.
The next day, we got a behind the scenes tour of the Denver Zoo. I was brought to tears being so close to these beautiful animals. We saw the zookeepers interact with and feed the tigers – my spirit animal. I wished we could have touched one. That’s still a bucket list item yet to be crossed off.
One bucket list item got crossed off that day though and it was feeding and kissing a giraffe. -Yes, kissing! I got to smooch a tall handsome fella! That day was WAY to fun. And needed.
