Kimberly & Bryce’s Cardiff by the Sea engagement session. This is more of an impromptu engagement session/family photos on the beach for Christmas, as you’ll see my mom and even ME in some of these photos. My brother and his fiancé ended up spending their holiday together alone at home so it was just us.

Cecilia, my niece, is teething and was just woken up from a nap after falling asleep in the car ride to the beach, so she looks a little out of it. She’s usually smiley. This is the beach we basically grew up on in the summer time when we would stay with our grandparents who lived in Cardiff. It was special to us to take some photos here.

Also, how weird is it to have both your younger siblings ENGAGED at the same time and shoot their engagement sessions? Particularly when I, myself, was engaged at one point but not anymore. Pretty surreal, but I guess that’s life. Note: my ex and I came out of the relationship with a stronger friendship, so that’s a win. I know it’s rare and it’s not for everyone, but I’m grateful for our ability to be civil and good to each other and call on the other for help when we need it.

I still have to share my brother and his fiancé’s engagement session. We were supposed to do one in San Diego and another one in Los Angeles. Because of the holidays, me traveling, and everybody getting sick, we still haven’t gotten to the LA session yet! Stay tuned.
