Heather & Phil’s surprise beach engagement in Santa Monica went swimmingly! I just LOVE these two! This was the first day I had met them both and they were both SO good in front of the camera!!! I mean, just look at Heather; she’s a natural!

Phil was introduced to me by his uncle who had been helping him plan this secret surprise proposal to his girlfriend Heather of many years while they were out here on vacation for the new year from their hometown, Indiana. He chose to pop the question on the beach in Santa Monica because they used to live here a few years ago and it was always special to them.
I was waiting in the parking lot nearby for them to make their appearance and as soon as I saw them walking across the PCH bridge from Ocean Ave down to the sand, it was go-time!

This particular setting was a little difficult since it’s not insanely crowded enough for someone following them with a camera to blend in or hide in a bush, but we got lucky and she never noticed me and never suspected a thing! Phew!

…and she said yes!!!
